Happy Dr. Who Day!

I am so excited I just sit here saying .... "SQQQEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Not really... But I do keep doing it in my head :)

I love me some Dr. Who! I never even heard of Dr. Who before I  met The Cockney... But he opened up a door to me that has never been closed! Dr. 10 was my first Doctor... dreamy... but then 11 captured my heart... and oh... oh oh oh... wait wha??? The movie is today???

Celebrating 50 years?!?! YES!!

I don't actually have cable, we aren't big TV watchers, IF I watch a British show I have to do it on Acorn.tv or netflix... But mom is letting me use her "Big Huge Massive Screen" today... :)

I'm on my way over there now...

I wish you all a fantastic day. It's so cold here in Texas, I have the fire going... and my flannel pajamas on, I might drive to my moms house in my pajamas... It's so cold!

And here is my toasty fire... I love winter days with a fire!
Have a great Saturday!
Much love,
Tammy

  1. Enjoy it Tammy. My son is off to watch it at the cinema in 3D. I will have to send you a photo of him. He will be dressed as Matt Smith and he does look a lot like him. Dr Who is a family tradition in our house but as my other half is at work I will wait till he gets home to watch it. Have a great evening (or whatever time it is in Texas).

  7. Do you remember that time you commented on my blog post about the Van Gogh museum and told me about the Dr Who episode where the Doctor shows Van Gogh how popular his work became? I had never seen Dr Who before that, but it just so happened that while we were in Paris it came on tv. It was in French, so I didn't understand a word, but I came home wanting to watch more! We aren't big tv watchers either, but I hope I'll get around to catching at least a few episodes. I love sci-fi type stuff!

  10. I've recorded the episode, but I am scared, as I've been scared of Dr Who since I was a child!! Hope that it was good to watch on the huge massive screen at your Mom's! It must be cold there if it is fire on weather. I always thought that TX seemed quite warm compared to AR, but perhaps it was just the comparison between the two, as AR could get really cold it seemed too! xx

  11. I hope you enjoyed your Dr Who day Tammy, we watched it too. "My" Doctor was John Pertwee, the third Doctor I believe. Not a heart throb though! I had to watch it from behind a cushion in the 1970's as it was so scary!
Now David Tennant, he was a heart throb Doctor!!

  12. We don't watch it, but my youngest is starting to show an interest and I think that in a couple of years we'll be watching every episode... I like how it's something the whole family can watch together, that's nice. x

  13. I remember Doctor Who from my childhood! Sylvester McCoy was the doctor when I was little, that was just before it went off air for a while. I love it too, my favourite of the recent ones has been Matt Smith, I'm sad to see him go.
